Simmy’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but her story is a beautiful reminder of just how resilient and forgiving dogs can be.

She came into our care through incredibly unfortunate circumstances—frightened, uncomfortable, and clearly having endured far more than any dog ever should. At such a young age, Simmy was battling ehrlichiosis (E. canis) and a severe case of mange that had left her skin sore, her coat patchy, and her little body exhausted. It was heartbreaking to see such a gentle soul in need of so much care and comfort.

And yet, despite everything she had been through, Simmy never lost her sweet, gentle spirit.

With dedicated veterinary treatment, nourishing food, and the unconditional love of her foster carers, Simmy has transformed in the most beautiful way. Her coat is growing back beautifully, her health has improved tremendously, and her confidence shines a little brighter every single day. Watching her learn what it feels like to be safe, warm, and truly loved has been incredibly special.

Now, Simmy is thriving—embracing her second chance at life with a wagging tail, a loving heart, and so much happiness ahead of her.

She is looking for a forever family who will cherish her exactly as she deserves. A home where she will always feel safe, where her gentle confidence can continue to grow, and where she’ll never again have to wonder what it feels like to be neglected or forgotten.
